Rajasthan Royals Crush SRH to Reach IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 as Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Record-Breaking 97

The Rajasthan Royals delivered a dominant performance to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the IPL 2026 Eliminator, securing their place in Qualifier 2 against the Gujarat Titans.

The biggest talking point of the match was a sensational innings from 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who played one of the most explosive knocks in IPL playoff history.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Stunning Knock Powers RR

Batting first after SRH won the toss and chose to field, Rajasthan Royals posted a massive total of 243/8 in 20 overs.

Young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi stole the show with a breathtaking 97 runs off just 29 balls, smashing 5 fours and 12 sixes. His fearless innings gave RR complete control of the match from the start.

Suryavanshi also created history by setting the record for the most sixes in a single IPL season — an incredible achievement considering he is only 15 years old.

Dhruv Jurel provided excellent support with a quickfire 50 off 21 balls, while Yashasvi Jaiswal added 29 runs.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Praful Hinge was the standout bowler despite conceding runs, finishing with figures of 3/54 in four overs.

RR Bowlers Dominate SRH Chase

Chasing a huge target of 244, Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were bowled out for 196 in 19.2 overs.

Nitish Kumar Reddy top-scored for SRH with 38 runs from 20 balls, while Salil Arora and Ishan Kishan made aggressive starts but failed to convert them into big innings.
